Biorefining is an emerging technology set for rapid expansion in the next decade, with the current total value of the bioeconomy across Europe already reportedly worth around € 2 trillion.
Our aim is to enable regional industry to embrace the bioeconomy and ultimately support our clients to compete nationally and internationally in this growing sector by bridging the gap between laboratory development and commercial manufacture.
Our team of specialists can help businesses with their research and development activities and de-risk the innovation process by providing access to expertise and facilities to assess feasibility of biorenewables projects. For regional SMEs in particular, we may be able to offer funded support through our ERDF funding and other business advisory programmes, allowing businesses to explore new opportunities without financial risk.
Set up as a not-for-profit company, we always offer impartial advice and have extremely competitive rates for funded and commercial clients alike. We are able to work on a mixed portfolio of short, medium and long-term projects, so no matter the scope of your project, we would love to hear from you.
We can work with companies from many different sectors and backgrounds, such as:
- Food and feed producers
- Plant breeders
- Speciality chemicals producers
- Personal care companies
- Paint and surface coating producers
- Bioenergy companies
In addition to working with industry we are a project partner in a number of externally funded projects, from growing the bioeconomy in Yorkshire, Humber and Teesside to looking at new ways to use waste from sugarcane in India – the range of projects we are involved in is vast. If you are looking for a project partner with open access, scale up biorefining expertise, please get in touch to see how we can support you.
